As The Lansdowne marks its 100th year as a cornerstone of Sydney’s live music scene, we’re turning our eyes (and ears) to the future.

The ELEVATE Showcase brings together five of NSW’s most exciting emerging artists for one unmissable night of live performance. Selected from over 80 applicants across the state, these finalists represent the next wave of genre-defying, boundary-pushing talent set to shape the sound of tomorrow.

IRON MIND

Revered Melbourne hardcore band Iron Mind hit the road this winter in support of their crushing new full-length, Test Of The Iron Mind. Hitting cities across Australia and Aotearoa in June and July, the Test Of The Iron Mind Live ’25 tour will see Perth’s hardcore force The Chain and Melbourne heavy hitters Horsepower along for the ride, and a rotating lineup of local supports at each stop.

NEX GEN: 100 YEARS OF THE LANSDOWNE HOTEL

NeX GEn is a one-night-only celebration of the fiercest rising femme and GNC artists in Aussie heavy music, curated by RedHook’s Emmy Mack and proudly presented by One Of One and UsFest as part of The Lansdowne’s epic 100th birthday bash.

For just $14, punters will score access to an exclusive industry showcase kicking off with a panel and audience Q&A featuring Emmy, Monica Strut of The Last Martyr, and more. Then it’s straight into the pit with a blistering lineup of scream queens: Naarm’s genre-blurring pop-metal upstarts Nightlight will mark their Sydney live debut, followed by the raw, relentless energy of Newcastle’s Vilify, before The Last Martyr bring it all home with a powerhouse headline set.

PEPTALK, Tonix, Gia Darcy and Merci, Mercy are putting together a night to celebrate some of the best indie pop bands in Australia. Female fronted and diverse, this lineup is made for a party.

The Nagging Doubts

The Nagging Doubts are stoked to be back at the Lansdowne, in the lead-up to their debut album release ‘Panic Growth’ on Saturday the 14^th of June. They share the stage with local Sydney bands, and good buddies, Banana Farm and Kate Moth. Expect a set that blends mid-west grunge sounds with dry and jagged post-punk rhythms.
