GRaSPS: WHeN WILL YOU Be HeRe aGaIN? – PHOeNIX CeNTRaL PaRK

Christian aka Grasps is an electronic artist & producer based in Eora (Sydney), in so-called Australia. Their sound is experimental electronic, enmeshing sounds from life and the unreal, intending to combine extremes of sound; the gentle with the harsh.

Grasps
As a solo artist, Grasps has released 2 EPs through PBDY’s LA-based label TAR; a subsidary to Brainfeeder, which received support from the likes of Flying Lotus & Huxley Anne. Their 2019 debut album ‘Awoken’ was received with open arms, blessed with collaborations from visual/3D graphic artist Nicholas Matthew Elstran (US) as well as celebrated Eora-based noise/doom outfit Bract (fka Coward Punch).
Phoenix Central Park
Phoenix Central Park is the singular vision of philanthropist Judith Neilson AM, well-known as the founder and owner of Sydney’s prized White Rabbit Gallery and its world renowned collection of contemporary Chinese art. A collection of one-of-a-kind performance spaces in Sydney, including the multi-award winning Phoenix Central Park in Chippendale and a repurposed 19th-century Gothic church in Alexandria, Phoenix Cultural Centre aims to revitalise inner-city neighbourhoods with new cultural beacons that are as bold on the outside as the performances they present within.
