Our name, Uobei, is a play on words that combines the Japanese words for “fish”. It reflects our commitment to providing a friendly and welcoming atmosphere for our customers, while also emphasising the freshness and quality of our seafood.

The Lord Gladstone fits right in to the inner city/inner-west pub scene; it has a large courtyard, exposed brick, tartan carpet and a menu of well-executed pub classics. Once The Gladstone, it was renovated by the same team that gentrified the Toxteth and Vic on the Park.
The pub classics come either American or Aus-bistro style. There’s a parma hybrid which involves grilled eggplant and chicken schnitzel, or soft burgers led by Lord Gladstone’s MVP, the Lord Burger with beef, bacon, beetroot, pickles, onion and a Brickfields sesame bun. If you go earlier in the week the already decently priced menu becomes ridiculous with $10 burgers on Monday and Tuesday and a $5 basket of wings on Thursday night. You’ll find childhood nostalgia with the caramel soaked, deep-fried Gaytime.
Behind the bar there’s Young Henrys and Little Creatures on tap, or bottles of Batch, Murray’s and other rotating local crafts. You can take your beers upstairs to Goodspace, the pub’s monthly gallery curated by Press Book’s Chris Loutfy. On the weekend nights there are regular DJs and the occasional band appearance, sometimes arriving unexpectedly with a raft of after-party followers.

The story of Toby’s Estate began in 1997, when coffee-loving lawyer Toby Smith made a life-changing decision, swapping legal books for coffee cups to follow his passion for his favourite brew.
Our flagship cafe and roastery is located in the bustling neighbourhood of Chippendale. Our Sydney flagship is an experiential-based venue breaking down the walls between the customer and the barista for a coffee experience like no other.
Rather than the barista on one side and the customer on the other, the island brew bar is a feature of the cafe, allowing customers to get up close, ask questions and share our passion for coffee. If you prefer to watch from afar, see the magic happen from the overhead mirrors.
Glass doors at the back of the cafe give customers a behind-the-scenes look into our roastery, where our roasting team are hard at work crafting and creating your favourite espresso blends, our monthly Single Origins and the limited-edition Flavour Savours.

Anita’s world-famous boutique ice cream had modest beginnings in a small kitchen, more than 22 years ago. Mama Anita, with the help of her youngest son Nir, would whip up tasty frozen treats for friends and neighbours. He’d prepare the ice cream base, while she made the addictive jams they mixed in, to give Anita’s ice cream its signature taste.
All gelato is handmade & churned in-store to create its phenomenal texture & taste. We offer a range of options for every palate, including some sweet scoops without added sugar. The rotating list of over 150 flavours means there’s always something different to explore!
